The IBSAT (ICFAI Business School Aptitude Test) is a well known entrance examination, which is primarily organized by the Federation of universities and administered by the ICFAI Business School. Every year a large number of applicants appear for the IBSAT examination in order to take admission in varied management programs of the ICFAI university. The IBS is a part of ICFAI (The Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India), which is amongst the reputed universities. An academic assistance and placement support is provided by the ICFAI university to those students who want to pursue a two year campus-based MBA program. Moreover, the university also has a one year residential Executive PG program at the Hyderabad location. This course is exclusively designed for corporate professionals.
IBS has 19 campuses across the nation including Noida, Gurgaon, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Jaipur, Ahmadabad, Dehradun, Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Indore, Goa, Hyderabad, Bhubaneswar, Kolkata, Bangalore, Mangalore, Chennai and Kochi. Further, the university is also planning to establish campuses at Faridabad, Coimbatore and Visakhapatanam. In order to get admission to an IBS institute, a candidate must qualify for the IBSAT examination. Apart from the IBSAT score, the university also considers the GMAT and CAT scores for enrollment to its management programs. However, the IBSAT is a compulsory entrance test for all the applicants who are interested in MBA and Executive PG programs of the university. The minimum eligibility for appearing in the examination is that a candidate must have a Bachelor's degree from any discipline with 50% marks from a recognized or a deemed university. A final year student can also apply for the IBSAT examination. Candidates who are seeking admission in the Executives PG program should possess 3 years or more of executive level work experience after graduation.
Interested candidates can apply for the IBSAT through the OMR application form, which is enclosed with the IBSAT bulletin. The duly filled OMR application form along with attested copies of X, XII and graduation mark sheets have to be sent to the Admission Officer, IBS Head Office. Final year students can enclose the current semester or current year mark-sheets with the application form. The candidates can also apply online by logging-in to the website, filling up the application form and making a payment of Rs 1,100 through a credit or debit card, which is the cost of the IBSAT bulletin. With the online application from, an applicant must also send their scanned colored photographs. Moreover, application forms can be downloaded from www.ibsat.org.
