SNAP stands for Symbiosis National Aptitude, which is organized by the Symbiosis International University (SIU), Pune. The university is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council NAAC with an 'A' Grade. The SNAP test is compulsory for admission to various Post-Graduate programs of the SIU. The institutes offering Post-Graduate programs via the SNAP include Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM), Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies & Research (SICSR), Symbiosis Institute of Mass Communication (SIMC), Symbiosis Institute of International Business (SIIB), Symbiosis Institute of Geoinformatics (SIG), etc.

The SNAP is conducted in varied cities of India, which includes Mumbai, Nagpur, Nashik, Pune, Delhi, Faridabad, Gurgaon, Lucknow, Noida, Chandigarh, Surat, Indore, Jaipur, Jamshedpur, Kanpur, Bhopal, Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Agra, Vashi, Guwahati, Kolkata, Patna, Bhubaneshwar, Kolhapur, Hyderabad, Visakhapatanam, Bengaluru, Chennai and Kochi. After qualifying for the SNAP test, it is mandatory for candidates to submit the application to the desired colleges and clear the Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds as every Symbiosis institute has its own selection procedure.

A Bachelor degree holder from a recognized university with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC and ST) is eligible for the SNAP examination. Final years students can also apply for the test but the admission will be given on the basis of marks (minimum 50%) obtained by them..Besides this, an aspirant needs to be a citizen of India and should fulfill the 21 year age limit. For the SNAP exam registration, a candidate is required to log-in to the official website and upload an updated photograph so as to get a SNAPID. The registration charges of the SNAP test are Rs.1550/-, which can be paid in cash or through online banking, demand draft or credit/debit cards.
